In Duel de cerveaux, two people compete face-to-face in a game where concentration plays a central role and leads to glory and victory. The two participants find themselves facing a two-tone LED light bar, each one being assigned a color.
The challenge for the opponents is to light the LEDs one by one with their mind and fill the whole bar with their own color. A clear mind and a complete focus on turning on the LEDs is the only way to win.The installation tests the participants' ability to fight the adrenaline of victory. The opponents must remain in a mental state of focus as long as possible in order to win. It’s like a tug of war for two brains.
The installation needs you to stay focused, to be able to ignore all external stimuli and even the feeling of winning. Losing your focus means allowing your opponent to make an unexpected comeback into the game.
